Crime of the Truest Kind is the Massachusetts and New England true crime stories and local history podcast about the things that happen here. Created and hosted by Boston radio personality, Anngelle Wood (WFNX, WBCN, WZLX), each episode walks you through a local crime story and the people and places involved. Anngelle’s narrative, storytelling style conveys her empathy for the victims and the families - what she calls the most important thing about sharing these stories.
Since starting the podcast in 2020, cases she has covered include the deadly Station Nightclub Fire in West Warwick, Rhode Island, the unsolved murder of Rita Hester in Allston, Massachusetts, the case of missing mother Debra Melo of Taunton, now-identified Ruth Marie Terry, known as the Lady of the Dunes, in Provincetown, the murder of Gregg Smart in Derry, New Hampshire, the disappearance of Maura Murray in 2004 from Haverhill, New Hampshire and missing child, Andy Puglisi, taken from Lawrence, Mass in 1976.
